Rehabilitation penalty is executed in accordance with Statute of Rehabilitation Penalty. Rehabilitation penalty is divided into three periods and will be fulfilled consecutively. In advance of these periods, the Center will perform Preliminary investigation in about two weeks so that rudimentary understanding of the inmates as well as their personal files can be made. Later on, Adaptation period, Psychological Guidance Period and Social Adaptation Period are executed for the rehabilitation treatment in 3 periods. The full span of compulsory rehabilitation is over 6 months and ends when it is not necessary to carry on the compulsory rehabilitation; however, it cannot exceed one year.

The key points are to rebuild human relationship and the ability to solve problems for inmates, and assist them in returning to the society.

b. Obey instructions. Do not act against orders or violate discipline.
c. Befriend your company. Do not organize gangs or brutalize the weak and newcomers.
d. Behave yourself. Do not fight, quarrel, escape or bully.
e. Care for public assets. Do not pollute, damage, waste or indulge in vanity.
f. Live properly. Do not booze, gamble or tattoo.
g. Accept inspection. Do not hide banned items or pass letters privately.
h. Maintain tidiness. Do not sabotage or paint graffiti.

7. Is there any punishment if having violated these regulations?
If inmates violate the regulations in the Center, they will be decided as trespassing against regulations. Furthermore, if they violate the regulations when they are in correction period and their grades are assessed as unqualified, they shall undergo continuous rehabilitation treatment. The story of their violations and the reference standard for punishment will be attached in their files. The Center hopes all inmates may abide by all regulations and stick to livelihood discipline.

Inmates having taken more than 6 months of rehabilitation treatment and having been decided by the Center that there is no need for further rehabilitation treatment, Treatment Center will send reports along with related evidences to prosecutors in charge of the rehabilitation treatment execution and the courts that will rule or demand the termination of rehabilitation treatment so that the inmates may leave the Center accordingly.
