Notices for Phone call Appointments

1. Purpose: To accommodate the needs of the public and reduce the waiting time for family members of inmates wanting to visit, the Center offers a special service for scheduling phone call appointments.

2. Application time for appointment of visits:

a. 09:00 ~ 11:00AM & 14:00 ~ 16:00PM, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays)

b. The application process must be ccomplished at least one day prior to the visit day.

3. Visitor eligibility and the frequency of visits:

a. The Visitors: Limited to close relatives who have previously visited the inmate in the Center on more than one occasion.

b. The Frequency of Visits:

(1)For juveniles: Once per day for those detained for observation, correction, or classified as criminals; once per week for those under observation for rehabilitation or detained for rehabilitation.

(2) For adult inmates: Once per week.

Group 2: 10:00 ~ 10:15 AM    Group 6: 15:00 ~ 15:15 PM

Group 3: 10:45 ~ 11:00 AM    Group 7: 15:45 ~ 16:00 PM

Group 4: 11:30 ~ 11:45 AM

Notes: If the facility becomes too crowded, the schedules for group visits may be adjusted accordingly.

6. Notes for phone call Appointments:

a. This service is not available to inmates who are currently undergoing disciplinary review for having violated regulations.

b. Each appointment allows for one visit only.

c. Applicants will not be granted another appointment until they have attended the one previously scheduled.

d. Relatives who have scheduled visit appointments must bring their identification certificates on the day of the visit and report to the waiting room to sign in.

e. Relatives who have scheduled visit appointments but are unable to attend at the specified time and date should call 04-23865827 to cancel the appointment before the  last working day preceding the appointment date. Relatives who fail to show up for their appointment more than three times within a 6-month period will be ineligible to schedule new visit appointments for the next 6 months, starting from the date of the most recent missed appointment.

f. The telephone appointment service is not available on weekends and during the Chinese Lunar New Year holidays.

g. When relatives of inmates apply for appointments, they must register using their real personal identification. If it is discovered that there has been forgery or misrepresentation of personal identity, these relatives will lose their eligibility to apply for this service.
